Arquiste – Indigo Smoke
In the heart of the Wuyi Mountains, monks spent centuries tending to tea and indigo plants on carefully terraced slopes. But in 1646, their serene existence was shattered when Qing soldiers invaded.
Forced to flee, the monks smoked their tea leaves over pinewood fires, preserving their harvest and unintentionally creating the rich, smoky lapsang souchong.
This fragrance captures that moment—a blend of smoky pine, earthy black tea, and vibrant indigo. It opens with the fresh, crisp air of the mountain peaks, followed by hints of temple incense and the mineral notes of the river narrows below.
The result is a bold, intoxicating scent that embodies the spirit of the Wuyi Mountains:
- Top Notes: Smoky pine, fresh mountain air
- Heart Notes: Lapsang souchong black tea, sacred temple incense
- Base Notes: Earthy indigo, mineral-rich river stones
Indigo Smoke is a sensory journey through history, offering a unique fusion of smoke, earth, and sacred tranquillity.
